Catherine Novas - Executive Director

With over six years of teaching experience and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Brandeis University, Catherine brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine love for children. She incorporates Christian principles into daily activities, helping children grow in faith and character. In her free time, Catherine enjoys making art and spending quality moments with her partner.

Jeremy McGurn - Business Director

Jeremy ensures the smooth operation of Nova Learning Center. With a business degree from Southern New Hampshire University and extensive experience in business management, he integrates Christian stewardship principles into the center’s operations. Jeremy’s goal is to provide a seamless experience for parents and a thriving environment for children.

Thorough Screening: Every staff member undergoes rigorous background checks, including reference checks, fingerprinting, criminal records checks, and state screenings before they join our team.
Certified Professionals: Our team is certified in CPR and First Aid and must maintain 20 hours of Professional Development credits each year.

Continuous Training and Development

Ongoing Education: We provide our staff with regular training sessions in Child Abuse Prevention and Detection, Behavior Management, Food Safety and Handling, and Curriculum Development to ensure they are always up-to-date with the best practices.

Adherence to State Standards

Compliance with Regulations: Class sizes, age groups, teacher qualifications, and ratios meet or exceed the requirements set by the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth & Families and the Department of Education.
